GENERAL INFORMATION
Kyokushinkai - Our karate style, means 'true, high way;' goal is mental and physical improvement and awareness. Mas. Oyama (1923-1994), the originator, Korean-born Japanese karate master. Techniques based on power, speed, and balance, have a circular motion in execution. Oyama attained high degrees in Judo, Kempo, Shotokan, Goju, and others before spending 1.5 years in isolation to develop his new style.
