Uchi Deshi

An exciting new program has begun in the New Carlisle Senshi Nokkiru Dojo, the Uchi Deshi Program.

The Uchi Deshi are a select group of students from the adult class chosen from applicants who are seeking to further their study of Karate, Japanese Language and Culture, and to test themselves to their personal limits.

This program is carried out at the Tokyo, Japan Honbu (headquarters) each year where only a handful of students are chosen from hundreds of applicants from around the world for a two year commitment to intense study and training. The New Carlise dojo will be participating in this program locally, with students chosen for a three-month commitment.

The first Uchi Deshi Class of the New Carlisle Senshi Nokkiru Dojo began in late December and will run through late March. Congratulations are due to Leah Blake of Hudson Lake and Bill Marron of Rolling Prairie who were chosen from the most recent applicants as Uchi Deshi Students. These students can be recognized by their white obi (belt) with red stripes on the tips. Applications for the next Uchi Deshi class will be accepted in mid-March. Gan Batte!
